At Frogmore Bottling Company, we know that selecting the right co-packer is a crucial decision for any food or beverage business. We aim to simplify that process and provide transparent, high-quality services to our clients. We’ve answered some of the most frequently asked questions from potential partners, so you can better understand our approach, services, and how we can help you bring your products to market.
Our process is designed to make things smooth and efficient from start to finish. Here’s a step-by-step breakdown:
Initial Contact: You reach out, and we schedule an introductory call to ensure we’re a good fit.
NDA: After the call, we provide a mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) to protect both you and Frogmore.
Pricing & Recipe: You send us your recipe, and we provide initial pricing. Once pricing is approved, we move forward.
Labels & Payment: You send your labels and marketing materials for the first run. Once approved, we invoice for a 50% deposit on the first production run.
Production: Together, we oversee the production of a 400-gallon run. It’s the best way to ensure everything meets your expectations before we scale.
If you aren’t comfortable with a 400-gallon run, you may not have the need for co-packing yet.
We specialize in thermally processed retail and bulk bottling for chain retailers and restaurants.
Transparency is key at Frogmore. While some co-packers might change your recipe to improve margins, we stay true to your recipe—down to the smallest detail—even if it costs more. We believe in integrity over shortcuts.
Every batch we create has a Certificate of Analysis (COA) that you and Frogmore set together. If a batch doesn’t meet the agreed-upon standards, it doesn’t leave our facility.
We offer both options. While we do provide recipe development, it can be time-consuming. We recommend that clients come with a recipe ready or use one of our house recipes to speed up the process.
We offer a wide range of packaging options, including:
1 oz to 8 oz fills
8 oz to 32 oz fills
½ gallon and 1-gallon fills
Form Fill and seal bags
12oz and 24oz cup filling capabilities
On special occasions, we also offer bulk filling into 50-gallon drums.
We are an FDA-certified facility and have third-party certifications from GFSI. Additionally, we are a Kosher-certified facility and are currently working on our Walmart audit. These certifications ensure that we meet high standards for safety and quality.
We love working with startups because we are one ourselves. We offer guidance on navigating hurdles in distribution and chain retail. We’re invested in your growth—if you’re serious about scaling, we’re the right partner.
The timeline depends on your readiness. For new businesses, the process could take 3-4 months. If you’ve already worked with another co-packer, the timeline could be shortened to 30-60 days. Your efficiency directly affects our timeline.
We require an 800-gallon minimum order for dedicated, time-sensitive runs. Smaller companies can opt for a 400-gallon run, but timing may be impacted.
We can offer suggestions for label compliance, but it’s essential that you understand the regulations governing your product. Ultimately, you are responsible for ensuring compliance with FDA rules.
We require a mutual NDA before moving forward after the initial call. This NDA protects both parties and is standard practice for all our clients.
Sustainability is important to us. As farmers, we care deeply about the environment and encourage our clients to explore sustainable packaging solutions whenever possible.
We work with retail CPG firms, chain restaurant groups, and distributors looking for white-label options.
Yes, we can accommodate specialty products as needed, including gluten-free and vegan options.
Hopefully now you have a good understanding of what it’s like to work with us. Our goal is to make the co-packing process as transparent and seamless as possible while staying true to your product and vision. If you’re ready to take the next step, don’t hesitate to reach out—we’d love to help you grow your business.
